About

We are a small family run farm in Oxford, based in Binsey. If you would like to drive to us we are located on Binsey Lane, and have plenty of parking. Or you can walk or cycle here along the Oxford River Thames and through Binsey Village to the farm.

Open since 1958!

Medley Manor Farm is the only working farm left in Binsey, a small
agricultural hamlet located within Oxford City.

This unique part of Oxford has remained rural whilst the city has continued to grow around it since the 1930’s. There used to be three farms in Binsey until the 1990’s, but the other two have closed down like many other small farms across the country.

However, our farm in Oxford is still a thriving business with a herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle and a Pick-Your-Own where we mainly grow asparagus, strawberries and raspberries and open a pop up cafe in the summer months. We started to host weddings in one of our fields because friends asked if they could use the beautiful site for their special day.

History

The Gee family acquired Medley Manor Farm in 1958. Charles Gee
senior and his wife Barbara started the pick your own in 1980,
 mainly selling Strawberries.
Their son Charlie Gee has expanded the business to include a
wide variety of soft fruits and vegetables. Medley Manor Farm
in Oxford is one of only three working farms remaining within Oxford City. Charlie’s wife, Rachel, has now opened a cafe on the farm, serving light lunches and teas at the weekend in the summer.

We are looking forward to your visit and meeting you on the farm!
